Does anyone have any idea how I can connect a network harddrive for media sharing? I have an Iomega 1tb network drive and obviously it does not have Media Player? Any help would be AWESOME!!

I believe for Media sharing you have to have that PC up and running, connected to the U verse modem (wired or wireless) and have to set up that drive for network sharing.

I had my modem replaced with a new, updated version. Now the NAS software, Raidar, is not able to find the device. It is there and I can read / write to it. The new modem, per NetGear TS , is blocking Raidar's broadcast.

What setting is there that does this?????

Thanks

I guess I missed the whole thing about splitting the coax for two TVs. I agree with Sonic Dave, as usually. This might have to be a trial and error type thing. But you should be able to split it coming out of the box to 2 tv's. I don't do this personally but my buddy has this set up for TV's he has that are on opposite sides of his wall and just uses 1 box to control them both.

You could theoretically connect 2 different tv's to the same Uverse set top box. They would indeed be watching the same thing at the same time. You would only have the capability to switch channels from the room where the stb is unless you ordered the new RF remote from the AT&T store (online). This setup wouldnt really affect the "4 streams" thing as they would bother be operating off of the same stream. You could run into problems with interference or snow on the Tv's picture. The boxes were really designed to run one stb to a tv so they make not make enough overall power to run multiple tv's well. I guess you would just have to put it in and see if it works.

U-verse only allows 4 streams, so if you had them all running at the same time you will run into problems. But if you stayed with in the 4 stream quota then you would be alright. I'm not sure if accessing the multi-room DVR counts as one of your streams or not. I'm thinking it does not but I'm not a hundred percent sure since I only have 3 boxes. Rarely we ever have more than 1 going at a time.

Any heavy users out there that can answer this one?

Can two TVs share 1 u-verse receiver? I realize that both TVs would be watching the same channel at one time. Currently, I am a Directv customer and I have 8 TVs using 5 receiver boxes. IF I switch over to U-Verse, I would want the same type of setup

Wireless just isn't as sure of a technology than being hard wired. I always have preferred hard wired over wireless. But media share is nice but I don't really have a need to use it unless I'm showing some family photo's or something it's handly because you don't have to burn a DVD.

Scooter: The Uverse Gateway provides the wireless signal to my laptops. Although I am getting a high wireless signal, I am still having issues with the music or picture playing constantly without interruption. I have to gear-up for the lengthy conversation with the Uverse Tech. I'll let you all know what I find out. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the wireless signal. If that does not work as it should, why bother with this media share app.

Well, I spoke too soon. One hour after the reboot of the wireless gateway, the same problem again. I will have to spend more time on the phone with the Uverse tech again. This seems to be the M.O. with anything Uverse. I have narrowed it down to the wireless signal only and not the PC that's connected to the gateway, no problems streaming the music from that one. I'll keep you all posted on my progress.
