Wireless just isn't as sure of a technology than being hard wired. I always have preferred hard wired over wireless. But media share is nice but I don't really have a need to use it unless I'm showing some family photo's or something it's handly because you don't have to burn a DVD.

Scooter: The Uverse Gateway provides the wireless signal to my laptops. Although I am getting a high wireless signal, I am still having issues with the music or picture playing constantly without interruption. I have to gear-up for the lengthy conversation with the Uverse Tech. I'll let you all know what I find out. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the wireless signal. If that does not work as it should, why bother with this media share app.

Well, I spoke too soon. One hour after the reboot of the wireless gateway, the same problem again. I will have to spend more time on the phone with the Uverse tech again. This seems to be the M.O. with anything Uverse. I have narrowed it down to the wireless signal only and not the PC that's connected to the gateway, no problems streaming the music from that one. I'll keep you all posted on my progress.

I turned it off and nothing again. I am trying to connect wirelessly with my laptop. Another desktop in the house can connect, although no pics, video or music, but I can't get my laptop to connect.

The desktop that can connect, did you try to disable the firewall to test on that one? Also, previous user said tech support had him reboot his gateway and PC you might try that as well.

Thanks for the reply Uverse Guy. I worked with tech support and after trying a few things, he had me reboot the Gateway to acquire a new wireless signal. So far it has been playing all songs all the way through and no picture freezes. I'll let you know if things change.

Glad you where able to get it working.

We have it in our area (it is an option on the menu screen so I am assuming we do) and I enabled WMP 11 to allow for media sharing but it always says "No shared photos or music have been found yet on your network."

Not sure if we really have it yet or not (if it helps we live in Madison, WI) and I am well within range of the network.

Media share appears to be a great application and I've been using it since it was released. The only issue I have is that my music does not always play all the way through the song. The song starts to play and sometimes it plays all the way through t the next song and sometimes it stops and skips to the next song. Any solutions to this issus?

Okay it looks like AT&T has launched their new feature media share and it's about time. Now I'm not positive if it has been fully released in all markets but I know their are several that now have the feature and have had it for some time now, including me. I decided that it was about time to put up some screen shots and open some discussion about the feature. First, to those that are not familiar with media share it allows you to share your music and pictures from your PC to your TV via streaming through Windows Media ...
