Hi guys — just moved to Michigan from Austin Tx.  Had my Austin number ported to Vonage; have the vonage equipment. 

However, I'm renting the lower floor of house.  The cable/DSL modem is upstairs, and I have two Uverse boxes downstairs. 

Unlike the cable/dsl, the phone jacks downstairs are separate/independent from the rest of the house/upstairs. 

Can I set up Vonage going through the ethernet connection on the back of one of the Uverse boxes instead of the main cable modem?
