Our house has a child who occasionally requires disciplining.  One punishment is no television, but there is a tv/receiver in his room.  I would like the ability to prevent an individual receiver from displaying any content, a global parental lock.  If this option is already out there and I missed it, please let me know.  Thanks.

There is parant control options, you should check the settings to see if it will work for you. If not you can always unplug the box and just take away the power adapter so they can not plug it back in.
