Yea the MDVR and mutiple HD streams would be helpful. I didn’t realize how bad I would want more than 1 HD steam with only 1 HD tv. But then I realized if your recording something in HD you can’t watch another HD channel which sucks when your watching football and want to record another game in HD.

Hopefully this will only be an issue for a limited period of time.

Don’t we all my friend!

I think the MDVR is coming out later this year but not sure exactly when. I don’t want them to rush to much because if it doesn’t work too well then it’s a waste regardless.

We got a couple HD channels added a month or so ago here in Texas but I think they will keep adding more as the market explains. It just takes time because of the contractors and regulations.

I’m not understanding how contractors/regulations would hold this up; can you explain that?

With programming it’s more contracts than anything. Because if you
your a provider such as AT&T you have to have an agreement with the
broadcaster (let’s say NFL Network) to offer their channel. Some
channels require very expensive contracts that the provider has to pay
before they can offer it to their customer. The NFL network makes a
great example of this, do some searching on why NFL Network is not
offered on cable it’s all over contract disputes between the provider
and the broadcaster.

I’m not an AT&T employee but I do have a long telecommunications background.
