Sometimes people have their Pc's in a room with a cable jack and nothing else and the gateway is on the other side of the house.  If its a big house wireless will not reach with enough signal to offer the reliability people want.  A converter from HPNA coaxial to ethernet for internet would be great.

That's interesting. You would think they would have that. I mean essentially the STB already does that since the Ethernet port on the back of a STB will give you Internet. Why not a smaller simpler box that can be used to convert coaxial to Ethernet.

Nice idea! I think this would solve many customer problems with wireless because the tech could just include that coaxial jack in the splitter in the attic or wherever it is and then use a converter to connect the PC.

I like it!
