Any word on how long Uverse TV will be out in Houston? I've had power since Sunday but no tv or internet (using dialup).

I am in Houston 77077 and we had internet and TV for one day after the storm then it went out and has been out ever since. When you call the number on the Uverse website for support, 1-800-288-2020, all you get is support for dial up or DSL. If you pick DSL then they transfer you to someone in India after waiting 35 minutes only to be told that this is not the number for uverse. He then transferred me to the correct support and after waiting another 35 minutes for someone to answer, i was hung up on. This happened to me yesterday and also about 6 months ago when my service was interrupted. How can they give out the wrong number like that?
I have a number for tier 2 support that I have been using now but that is supposed to be reserved for the service techs that come out to your house. I was told by the tier 2 tech that 77077 should be up by tomorrow 9-19-2008.

I have heard that ATT has sent about a 150 trucks down that way and to Galveston to help with damages caused by the storm. Hopefully everything will smooth out over a few days.

I live 3 miles from an ATT office in Spring. I have not had UVERSE since the storm. I called, they said a few hours and its been a few days. I have tried every reset available. My sub division is out of eletricity but I have a whole house generator, so I know that is not the problem becuase satelite still works.

If there is no electricity it's likely the CO that provides the Uverse might be down.
