Sorry for the delyed response it has been a crazy 2 months for me at my job but hopefully by the end of the month things will slow down and I will have a little more time to fucus on the site.

In regards to RG being installed in closet that would only been cool with me if that is where the rest of my stuff was wired in and in your case it was. However, I would not have let them installers out of there with dropping a ethernet jack from closet to the officie for the main computer. I’m not a huge wireless fan because I know it "can" be flacky at times and requires more troubleshooting than a direct connection. If your still with in 30 days I would be on the phone complaining and demending a direct cat – 5 drop to your office from the closet. Maybe try to get a supervisor it they don’t want to do it. Know they usually will only do 1 drop like this, the rest (if) you have any more computers you will just have to work with the wireless in the other rooms or pay for additional drops.

 I really not sure what is happening with the DVR maybe it was something to do with channel. Did you try to record it from the web remote online? I have heard a couple of people saying that doesn’t always work as well. Make sure to set the recording from the actually DVR menu and not online unless you have to.
