Currently the is no allowance to schedule a program for viewing. A program that is not currently airing may be scheduled for recording but not for viewing. Say you are watching SpongeBob on Nick and in 2 hours you want to view a specific show on that channel or a different channel, there is no allowance for having that show automatically shown at its start time. Having had satellite tv in the past, I enjoyed this feature. I could schedule the shows to be watched by the grandchildren or schedule a show of my choice to come on automatically.
Thank you

Hmmm not sure I understand, can you not set your DVR to record the show?

I think he's saying he wants it to change the channel for him also.

What he is referring to is when you check a future show on the guide, it ONLY allows you to record, not select to auto-tune that show for you to watch,, show would be tuned to when it comes on..
LIKE DISH DOES.
I just subscribed and it ( along with the picture freeze issue ) may cause me to cancel and return to Dishnet.

You mean auto record a series? You can do that by hitting the record button twice on the show you want to watch and it should record it every time it comes on. You can fine to it in the setting if you want only new airs or new airs and repeats.

U-Verse guy,
We want the ability to Alert us to another show starting. Like a pop-up or even auto-tuning to the preset station at the predetermined time.
NOT recording it, but alerting us to the fact that another show is starting.

Hmmm, I guess I just can't see the use in such a feature. If it's a show you like watching wouldn't you know what time it comes on?
