Okay, I'm not positive if this has happened in all markets but I assume not. However, good news to all because if you haven't received the new Uverse updates, I would but only assume it's coming soon to your area. I was watching TV late Friday night when all of a sudden I noticed the U-verse guide had a much more cleaner look to it. I knew at this point an updated had pushed through and could only hope my wishes had come true for the long waited DVR updates. Since, I was watching TV in my bedroom I could …

I just received my update at 12:22am (7-7-09) after i finished watching my recorded Gundam00. I like the look as far as the transparency but the sub pip is larger and takes up 1/3 of the screen as before it took up 1/4 of the screen. All in all, Great job… still tinkering around so I'll keep ya posted on what else i found. Here are some pics i took on my busted cell at 2mp. (sorry if they are of poor quality)

Oooppps! didn't have the uVerse Motorola box set to HD 1080i… The next few shots ar in HD setting (excuse the grey bars on top and below the image, tv is 60″ and in 1080 it converts to 54″. they can be turned black but then a possible image burn can happen, so i just use full 60″ 480 and watch programs on HD channel (ie: 1151) which give me 56″ and the black bars.) Yes! the UI did improve with the update. Me likey!

The update is here in Tennessee now.  I saw the new menu and  options for the first time on my first install today.  Basically all the menu options are the same, they just updated the look of everything.  That and the big kicker is that you can schedule recordings from standard STB's now.  Customer's have been waiting a long time for this one, hopefully it won't be too much longer before they get trick play feature on all STB's.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! Yes, I can agree the update is much improved. I like both the look and feel as well as the added DVR functionality. Good job AT&T!
