For those in the Detroit Michigan area U-verse TV and internet services should be readily available. The goal to expand services from AT&T is now reaching to 300,000 living units as reported by the AT&T press room.
This is really great news for all those wanting an alternative to cable and a chance to experience U-verse services. Since reaching Michigan, AT&T has been on a constant basis to expand services. Which is mainly in Southeast Michigan, far south Wyandotte, and as far as Lake Orion.
So buckle up Detroit because U-verse is here to stay! Read original blog post

Is this expansion due to more nodes, or more 'power' coming through the line? I wrote earlier about being on the edge, and the techs said an upgrade was needed before uverse was possible, and I am wondering if this is the upgrade.
Thanks!

I'm thinking it probably is! Anytime they upgrade availability more nodes will be required to provide services.
If I where you I would contact AT&T back and see if your now qualified.

I'm a converted U-verse customer coming from Comcast. I am very happy with the U-verse system. The sound and video is better and there are more features. Customer Service is great!

Hi Kelly,
I know things like this can be very frustrating and I wish I had the answer for you but unfornuatly our fan site isn't given this information. However, I do know Apartment complex any many areas have deals with Video providers. Generally you will have options on just straight internet (DSL/cable) but when it comes to video it's a differnet story. U-verse could be in your area but if the techs to have autherization from the complex owners to install then you need to go them complaining you what this to change. Talk to your neighbors to help push I would make sure that the service is in the surrounding neighbor first.

not sure if this was before your posts, but this is now illegal. apartment complexes can no longer limit your options with exclusivity contracts to certain providers. this, however, doesn't mean that other providers will immdiately swoop into these complexes to give u more options though.

Really? Do you have anymore information to this? Links and etc? This would be an interesting topic to read up on and I bet it varies based on state.
Thanks for the info!
