Thanks for the feedback.

Most people I have came across seem to be very pleased with the service. I think rebooting routers and STB's are common with any provider anway.

Thanks for checking in and gettting this section of the forum going!

Hi,

I have heard about U-verse in the Detroit area. Can you tell if and when it will be available to the Clarkston/Independence Twp area? This service sounds like the best of the best…and I would like more information. Thanks

Hi paul,

The best place to check for availability is on the Uverse official site.

https://uverse1.att.com/launchAMSS.do

You can put in your address or pre-existing telephone number and it should tell you if it is available in your area.

Hi,

Thanks for the information, but I have already tried that web link. I also did put my information to be notified when it becomes available. I was looking for some additional information as to what the plan for the Detroit, Michigan area. And what the future expansion plans are. If you have any additional information could you please send it along….I would really appreciate it.

I live in farmington. A Uverse technician came out to install Uverse, spent the whole day, and then said that I was on the edge of service, that the signal wasn't strong enough, but that they intended to 'strengthen the signal and recondition the lines soon.' Does anybody know anything about this? and If it happened/when it happened. I have called but can't really find a contact person

I have not heard of this but it kind of make sense if your on the border line of service range.

Hopefully they will put a node closer to your home that way you can get service.

The biggest and maybe only disappointment with the service is that it does not have Channel 9, CBC. Having lived all my life in the Detroit area, not having CBC could actually be a deal buster.

Is there anyway of requesting that CBC be added to the channel line up?

You can call U-verse Sales and request but generally not having channels is a contract issue between the Channel Provider and the Service Provider. Might not be anything you can do until they work out the numbers (if and when they do). It's kind of like Cable not carrying NFL Network.

Hey, I just got out of a 5 round cage fight with AT&T. That being said, ask people that live around you, and check you telephone poles for ORANGE tages around the cable line. Last but not least try to keep and eye out for a ATT guy corner him and ask him if anyone in your aread has u-verse. I live in a condo complex, and my neightbor 3 unit(same set of buildings) got ATT in his house. So I did what I said, cornered the att guy and he gave me a number to call. What happens is there system my not have been updated. I found that out the hard way, checked there website everday for 6 months, then found out it has been available there for that long. Stay persestant and you will get it. I did, they are installing it this week. If all else fails email this MI rep ha : JM445@att.com name is Joseph.
