Setting anything to just "WEP-Open" is one of the worst things you can do, due to the fact that now EVERYONE can connect to your network. I understand that Windows Vista (not Windows 7) has problems connecting with the 2wire routers, but, most of the time (99% of the time) this can be solved simply by putting it on WEP-shared. Granted, WEP-shared is not as strong as WPA or WPA2, it's better than nothing.
