This is probably a stupid question. Will I be able to keep my Comcast Cable Internet service and have U-Verse for my TV service?

I do not see why not, there should be no physical limitation. The only issue I can see if the techs use the existing coaxial to make sure the do not interupt what comcast has in place. Let the tech know when they show up. They may give you a hard time but honestly you should be able to have both.

not a stupid question.
i think the real question is why you would want to. maybe your experience is better than mine, but my Crapcast internet constantly dropped out, espcially at night & on the weekends when everyone else in the area was online – very anoying as i frequently work from home – and “deadly” when gaming in 'hard-core' mode.
i had trouble at first with my U-verse wireless dropping sometimes, but I replaced the super-low-quality wireless adapter (provided at install) with my own wireless card – works great now.

I haven't had any issues with my comcast connection dropping. I did have issues with my old DSL connection dropping. It dropped 3 times one Sunday and that was the last straw. I really love my comcast connection and I hate changing email addresses.

I don't blame you, I have had the same e-mail address for 10 years.

Yea, I need to get a good open free e-mail and start converting it over. Lucky for the interim I have been in the same provider for a long time. I have a couple of address but I just haven't come up with a username that sticks with me.

i'v had just about most of the major. hotmail, yahoo, and what ever but the best one i had was gmail. great spam blocking easy to use ui. All around good. also real responsive even on dial up except for the initial load.
