The Uverse technician installed our Residential Gateway in a location which appears to be too far from one of my three computers. I'm experiencing speed and connectivity issues on that computer. I plan to relocate the Gateway to a more intermediate location, in conjunction with a second set-top box that was also installed.

It looks like I can simply unplug the ethernet cable from its current location and insert the Gateway between the wall outlet and second set-top box, and I'll be good to go. Do I need to do anything else to get the system to work correctly?

If it's going to work it should be just plug and play.
