I have been reading the forum topics and it seems that the only people that post anything on here are the ones that had a bad experience. I thought I would change that as I had a great installation of my U-Verse.
The day before the scheduled installation: I recieved an automated message confirming the date and time frame for the installation (8-10 am). I was pleased to get that call as it confirmed my order.
Installation day: The technician called at 8:07 am to let me know he would be at the house within 20 minutes. He was there in 15. He was professional, intelligent and considerate. We have two dogs and they go crazy when someone comes to the house. Fortunately he played with them for a minute and let them get their excitement out of the way and it wasnt an issue as he was coming and going from the house for a few hours. He and I walked through the house and I showed him where we wanted everything and some potential problems. When we bought our house we discovered the former owner liked to cut corners on his projects. For example, some of the cable we had been using was not coaxial but antenna wire. The At&t tech said he would change it out and run new wire if necessary, even though the ceiling in our basement is drywall and you cant get to the wires.
The tech had the entire job done in just under 3 hours. That includes the time he took to set up the computer, tv's, nintendo wii and playstation 3 wifi, AND to show us how to use the various features on the remote and DVR. He also did little things like wipe his feet every time he came in (February in Ohio isnt clean carpet season).
In conclusion I just wanted to let everyone know this installation was amazing, fast, done right and because of that I can finally say goodbye to Time Warner!!
