I'm thinking of becoming a U-verse customer, and i'm looking for Customer's likes and dislikes of the system. How satisfied are people with the services.
Any replies would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you, TJ

Me too, Tj. Subscribed to this post. Thanks for breaking the ground here. I did find this thread by searching around a little.

To be honest I have to say I like U-verse better than any other service I have ever had, including cable and dish. It has it's quirks, don't get me wrong, but overall I've been very happy with the internet, tv, and phone. It's simple and works! What more can I ask for?

From what i'v got from installing uverse, it all depends on how well your install was done if your going to have a good experience. But that is true with all other service providers.

From what I have heard from customers while doing repair jobs, they usually fall into 2 categories. Either it works well and you love it or it doesnt work very well and you hate it for not working. But when it does work, you will love it. The best way to determine whether you will fall into the first category instead of the second is to make sure the installing tech does a very high quality install and is forthcoming with information about the quality of your line (the one coming into your house from the pole or the street). Poor line quality can lead to a lot of problems down the road. Also if your tech is more worried about doing your install fast instead of doing it right, that can also lead to problems down the road. When the installation is done, insist that they do the BBT Quality check right in front of you and all of the figures are passing. You will know because the important figures are color-coded on the display. If they are green, they are passing. If they are red, they are failing. The only exception is the quarter-hour start which will always show red if its less than 5 minutes, whether the test passes or not. If the network sees any problems with your line or home installation (whether passing or not), They will show up in a section of the readout near the bottom showing problems, locations, and details. If for any reason your quality check fails, make sure the tech fixes whatever is wrong before they leave or puts in a helper ticket to have someone else fix the problem (in the case of line failures). remember that your service will still function even if it fails the quality check, but it almost always leads to problems down the road.
