I have the series 'Ugly Betty' scheduled, but the DVR did not record it last night. None of the STBs were being used at the time, so there should have been plenty of bandwidth.

jg I'm at a lost of what is happening unless your boxes are power cycling or something while your not there. I will look for that serious and set it to record and see if I get any issues. I will report back in a few weeks with the results.

I guess I'm going to call AT&T and ask for a new DVR box. I've missed several more recordings over the past couple of days. Just now I was watching to see if a recording of Battlestar Galactica would start and it didn't. I tried to start it manually and it would say 'Recording', but the DVR (red light) wouldn't start. Finally I rebooted the STB and I was finally able to start the recording manually. After I rebooted I also noticed that a previous recording of 'Heroes' showed up in the Recordings list. I don't know if these are just bugs or a bad STB, but I'll ask for a new STB and see what happens. I'm getting frustrated enough with this I'm almost ready to tell them to pick up their boxes and discontinue the service!

I don't blame you to be honest, if I where having all those problems I would be considering other providers as well.

Good luck!

I got a new DVR box a couple of weeks ago which seems to have fixed most of my problems. They also changed the connection type from "auto" to the actual cable type. I saw another post somewhere where another user mentioned this as a problem.

I am having the exact same trouble.  I tried rebooting but it isn't helping.

I just had my DVR box replaced because of this problem. I tell it to record the series then the next week it doesn't record. If I go to the series manager function is will list the program as set to record the series but it will say 0 scheduled 0 recorded. So I start all over again and tell to record the series and it may or may not do it. I don't even record that many shows but the whole point of the DVR is to not have to tell the recorder EVERY DAY what to record. The AT&T tech was at a complete loss as to why it is happening too. I am getting frustrated. We have reset. changed the DVR box and continue to struggle to get series to consistently record. Thinking this is an AT&T glitch…
