I BOUGHT AN EXTRA RC BECAUSE WE HAVE A LARGE ROOM AND SIT FAR APART.  ANYWAY AFTER SETTING UP THE NEW RC I FOUND THAT THE ORIG RC WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY, RE-SET IT AND THE NEW RC QUIT WORKING. IS THIS NORMAL?

Doesn't sound normal, did you program your remote with the correct codes?

There are a bunch here in the tech tips for remote codes.
