Last couple of seconds prior to a commercial or end of show is lost when recording on our DVR. It is consistent across all shows whether HD or not. Is anybody else seeing this issue? We have called AT&T out four times and they have replaced the DVR and it still happens. Maybe a codec issue? Thoughts?

That is odd, I haven't heard of that problem yet.
Question: Is it just at the end of the scheduled program? Can setting the DVR to record 5, 10, or etc. minutes after the show is over be a possible resolution?
Or is are you losing it in the middle of the show itself.
Also, I wonder if your RG is going up and down. If your router loses power or turns off you will lose your Video. I have seen before where the RG was plugged into an electrical outlet that was controlled by light switch. So every time you turned off the light switch you turned of your service.
Not sure if that is the case but just trying to toss out some ideas.

Thanks for the comments…actually it is at every commercial break and at the end of the show as well. We miss the last couple of seconds….which is frustrating because it is the punchline of cliffhanger soundbites.
They have replaced the router and it seems to be working fine at this time. Plus the commercial is available in its entirety. It is an odd issue…

Yea that is very odd, thanks for posting an update. I wonder if it was the RG's firmware acting up. Maybe the new router was the solution.

We were hoping that the new router was the fix…but it is still happening…not sure where to go from here.

That is crazy! I have never heard of that problem.
Do you have any trouble watching in shows in real time?

Actually this seems to be the same issue I have. I have noticed that in some shows I have been recording. It will stop the recording at the commercial break at the end of the show prior to showing next week preview. That did not bother me much since I am not losing a lot of substance. I have not reported that back to ATT.

I have had it cut me off before the preview of the next show but I'm sure that is just a timing thing and I could set my record to record and extra 5 minutes.
However, I still haven't seen the issue with the commercials and miss pieces of the actually show. If anyone finds a resolution please let us know.

I too am being frustrated by missing the end of recorded programs. It like watching a great murder mystery and the last 15 are missing in the recording. This happening more & more often!I don't want to have to manually reset each program I record. This not the service, U-verse presents when advertising it's DVR service. Anyone had a solution provided for this?
