A couple of days ago I started a recording of "Ronin" during the last 30 min. of the program. The next day when I looked for the recording I couldn't find "Ronin". I discovered that the DVR had recorded the end of "Ronin" then had recorded the entire next show after it and given the recording the name of the next show.

Strange, sounds like you have a bad box or it needs to be formated. Have you called in to see if they can replace you DVR?

That sounds like something is really wrong with the box because I haven't heard of that issue and haven't had any troubles recording TONS of shows. And trust me my wife can load up that DVR.

Let's know if a new box or formating it does the trick. If you call into support they can take you through the steps.

I actually called tech support the nite this happened and they told me that this is a known issue that is being worked on so no need to get new stb, reformat or anything else until a software update is done.

That is crazy! Sounds like you shouldn't have to pay for it if it doesn't work like it's suppose to or close do it.

Does it happen on all recordings or just random?

So far haven't had this problem again. Got a new dvr box a couple of weeks ago. They said there are two versions of the box and the older one is the one that has all the problems.

Yea I got a new DVR and RG and everything has been great since then. The DVR seems a bit quicker and I also moved them off the carpter the FT said that static electricity from the carpet can cause problems.

This issue will be resolved by doing the factory reset of the DVR.

If we perform a factory reset on the Digital Video Recorder (DVR), all recordings will be lost, as well as aspect ratio, and parental control settings.Frown
