I have found that when I program a series and set the series to record "any day, any time" and "New and repeats" I don't always get those results. I have ired this on multiple shows and on multiple channels. Case in point, we watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels, it used to be on Sundays, when we switched to AT&T 3 months ago and we were programming shows, we found an occurrence of this show which was a repeat and on a Sunday. We set the series to record for that channel with "any day, any time" and "New only". When the new season started and the show switched to Tuesday night, we missed a whole month. We went back into the DVR and cancelled the series and then recreated it under the Tuesday night listing but with "any day, any time" and "New and repeats" now all we get are the new ones not the repeats that are on right after the new one.
It seems that if you find a show on the Guide and want a series recording of it, even if you select "any day, any time" it will only record the block of time that the show is actually in, meaning if I set a series recording for Gene Simmons and the show is listed as 8 to 8:30, even though there is another on at 8:30 to 9 it will only record 8 to 8:30 despite being told "any day, any time". If I got to the show listing for 8:30 to 9 and set a series recording and again tell it "any day, any time" it will only record that show from 8:30 to 9.
This is happening for every single show that we have set. Whats worse if we are even missing the repeats too, we basically have to go in daily and set each show to record, its worse then using a VCR.
We thought we were the only ones with this issue but I have since spoken to 2 others in my area that have the same issue. Is anyone else having this issue?
