What is this message about? I also see in the system information that it says Disk Status : Not Present Disk usage: N/A?

Does this mean i got a DVR box with NO Hard drive?

it definetly means that something is bad wrong.  if you reset it a couple of times & still have that problem, then call AT&T a.s.a.p.

note:  to reset either:

  1. push & hold the power button few a few seconds (a blue light then turns on for my box) OR
  2. find the “Restart” option buried somewhere in the [system?] menus

You actually may need to perform a disaster recovery on your DVR.  You do this by holding down the Down arrow, the ok button and then add the Power button, also be warned you will lose your recording is you do this.

EDIT BY ADMIN: I awesome this is the method of formatting your box and returning it to factory default with all recordings and settings gone!!!

LJ -

I'm not familiar with the technique that you listed.  Could you provide us some more details on what happens during this “disaster recovery” process?  Do you mean that all recordings will be deleted?

Thanks in advance,
