A couple of nites ago I recorded "Heroes". When I tried to play it back, I could not access the first 44 min. of the recording. After messing with the recording for a few min., the STB rebooted itself and after it came back up I pressed the MENU button and was informed by a screen message that "DVR not available" at the STB. I pressed the GUIDE button, then went back to the MENU and the Recordings option was back. I tried the recording of "Heroes" again and it now played back OK. So I guess the bottom line is that if you have a problem with a recording, don't give up until you try rebooting the STB. (Press and hold the Power button on the STB for 5 seconds to reboot)

Oh wow!!!

That is good information because if I missed Prison Break I wouldn't be too happy!!!

I wonder if something is going on with your RG, seem to be having a lot of issues. How many STB's do you have in the house?

I have 3 stb's, but mostly only 1 gets used. I think that some bugs remain to be fixed and will prob. take 3-6 months or longer before everything starts smoothing out. At least it works most of the time. Being able to schedule recordings from my PC is addictive.

Definitely, I'm always on the run so access from the net is definitely a great benefit.

Thankfully, like you said it's working most of the time correctly.

It happened again last nite. I was only able to access the first 38 min. of a 1 hour recording. Tried rebooting the stb, but didn't fix the problem. Luckily it wasn't something that was only on just one time.

What channel is it on? I wonder if it has something to do with that channel. I can try to record a couple shows from the same channel and see if it does anything strange.

I got a new DVR box a couple of weeks ago which seems to have fixed
most of my problems. They also changed the connection type from "auto"
to the actual cable type. I saw another post somewhere where another
user mentioned this as a problem. Haven't had to do any reboots since I got the new box.

Ahhhh, this happened to me tonight!  I recorded Medium and got about halfway through and it just froze.  I have some stuff recording right now but when they are finished, I'll reboot it and see if that fixes it.  :(

Darnit, nope.  Rebooting it did nothing.  I guess I'll contact their tech support tomorrow.  *sigh*

Well, nothing happened.  heh  They couldn't do anything for me.  Said if the reboot didn't work, then it was an interruption in the feed most likely.  (But why would that make the whole program freeze?  Ah well.)

Maybe call again and see if another agent tells you something different.

This happens to my recordings, but only on shows I DVR from TNT.  When you select it from the list to view the info says 1 hr 3 minutes.  Then at the 33 minute mark I can no longer pause, fastforward or rewind, but the show keeps playing.  If I pause, fastforward or rewind after the 33 minute mark and then hit play it goes back to 33 minutes.  This is very frustrating.  Restarting the box thru the menu only helps about 1/2 the time.Yell
