I have a new LG BD300 BluRay Disc player. It has ethernet capability so you can (supposedly) download/stream movies directly from Netflix.

Problem is, my U-Verse wireless router's in another room and the brilliant minds at LG decided wifi wasn't a necessity for their new BD300. With that in mind, I have a Linksys WET11 (wireless access point) I previously used with my old Playstation2.

I want to use the WET11 with the LG BD 300 so it will connect to the U-Verse (2Wire?) router.

Another issue is that I use a Macbook Pro with the latest version of Leoplard. How can I configure the WET11 using my Macbook Pro so that I can connect it to the BD 300? I'm totally stuck.

I've done some researching and seen how this could be done a few years ago with Tiger (Leopard's predecessor), but no info on how to get it to work using Leopard. Help!

If your house set top boxes where set up on coaxial we recently discovered that many users can connect an ethernet cable to the back of their cable box and get internet. So try connecting an ethernet cable from you box to your blu-ray player and see if that does the trick. If not you might try to just connect you laptop to the back of you uverse box to see if at least you have internet.

Let us know the result, I'm sure other users would be curious to know.

Incredible. Uverse Guy's solution seemed far too simple. Great thing is though….IT WORKED! Only thing I did was run an ethernet cable from the back of the Motorolla U-verse box to the input on the BD300. That's it! When I fired up the player and selected the "streaming" option, it downloaded a software update and was good to go. Amazing.

I have to take back my "brilliant minds" comment about the folks at LG. Being directly connected will certainly give me better download speeds than wifi anyway.

Awesome, this leads me to believe it will work with slingbox as well but I have no official confirmation. I have never heard this featured advertised with AT&T and no it doesn't work with some other providers. Let's hope AT&T doesn't jack with the set up because I think this is one of the advantages of having IPTV.

premtek,  do you mean when try watching U-verse in another room while your streaming netflix/blu-ray content? Seems like if your streaming netflix there is no reason to watch tv unless your meaning other house users in another room. I'm curious to know this as well, I don't have the netflix roku and my blu-ray doesn't have BDlive so I can't test either. Hope some post on this because I'm curious as well. I did however test using the internet connect to a set top box and watch uverse at the same time and didn't have any effect that I could tell to my eye, seemed flawless.
