A couple of things I came across while adding the records from the caller log into my address book:
1.) The session/UI seems to suffer from some type of record locking disguised as an error. If I right click a link to add the entry, the calling window will typicall suffer an error. Likewise, If I am in the caller log and make changes in the address book in another, a similar error occurs.
2.) The functionality of “Groups” should be consistent; In the caller log-to address book, there is no option for specifying a group. The Call Logs list should also have a column for group, or offer some configurable add-on columns from the address book.
3.) This may be specific to a “Private” entry; The caller log should make use of “Nicknames”/Name/Company as seen from the Address Book. I beleive the log from the ATT bar does this, but the main site (https://uversecentral1.att.com/uvp/myhome/uverse_voice?tab=voicemessages) does not. I have found myself working with duplicate numbers as they come in as “Private” and I rename them manually via Address Book, only to come back as “Private” again in the log.
4.) I'd like to see an import/export option of the address book data. I'm tired of converting the same list of data every program I get. Let's XML'ize this or something. or CSV. I don't mind a standard conversion format. Better, have a way to automatically 'fetch' the data from a web/ftp link.
