The u-verse modem will not let my computers "talk" to each other. I installed a switch (since it doesn't like routers for some reason). This works fine for the computers connected with Cat-5. But my laptop on a wireless connection can't see the other computers, nor my network file store or the network printer.

How can I turn off all, and I mean ALL, firewalls on my side of the modem? Really, my computers don't need to be protected from each other.

Odd, you should be able to share files just fine. I'm not having issues and I have shared files wired and wireless with default settings.  What operating systems are you using?
