I have the 3800HGV-B Gateway which does not have sufficient reach to provide wireless throughout my 2-story house.  (My old Linksys router had no problem with cable!) I now have a Linksys/Cisco E1000 router behind the gateway providing wireless throughout the house for several months. The E1000 replaces a Linksys WRT54G which physically broke (knocked off the table.) After several weeks of trying back in Oct. '09 I was able to get tech help from ATT in setting up the router behind the gateway. I thought I set up the new router with the same settings, however, in the past few weeks my network has slowed to a crawl. Some web sites time me out, particularly sensitive sites like my banks, etc. so I need to locate the problem and get it fixed ASAP.

Has anyone here successfully set up a wireless router behind the 2-wire gateway? If so, can you give me some router settings you used?
