Hi All: I am going to be upgrading my existing computer to a new one, and I want to run some questions by the community. I will be shutting down my computer, and will be leaving everything else alone (3800 etc) I will not be reconnecting the new computer right away because we will be transferring all the files etc from old to new. Total down time will be a few days. This is the computer that is directly connected via ethernet to the 2 wire 3800.

1.) Are there any items of concern with what I am planning on doing? I have a laptop that accesses the 2 Wire network via airport, and of course I have 4 TVs with the Uverse service.

2) I will be upgrading a iMac G5 to another iMac G5. Apple will be doing my file transfer, hence the several days before I can reconnect. Will my Uverse network recognize my new computer ok?

Thank you! New iMac just arrived today. We'll be taking it to Apple for the switch. I'll report back on outcome.

Glad to hear it all went well! I didn't think you would have much trouble with your Mac it uses the same standard as PC.
