ok so I scheduled the install after talking to the phone center, web install center and also the local sales rep that knocked on my door.

ALL 3 said I could Keep my DirectTV (Mostly because I had a contract and I could compare tehm SIDE BY SIDE to make sure I want to keep UVERSE and then I would take the hit on the EARLY Cancellation with DirectTV..

When I scheduled on the internet, I had to call the WEB Sales department and have my credit report unlocked/unfrozen…

Once again I was told I DO NOT have to cancel DirecTV, and that I can have up to 4 TV's installed FREE, the 5th would cost me like $50, I said no problem (after all its just running a ethernet cable from the modem to the box)…..

I had ordered the U300 with Modem and Voip totaling about $162/month….

Installer shows up and wants to use my Direct TV Wires from my satellite dish (I said NO, as #1 I have current DTV, They are M?Y Wires from MY install, and also you cant TAP into them as #1 it wont work (dtv/uverse on the same wire) and technically is NOT feasible (sp?) Because my dish is on the total oposite side of the house WITH the multiswitch right under it, about 120 feet away (wire run length) to where the copper phone line is).

He absolutely refused to install the 4 CAT5 wires from where the Modem/Router would be located in the garage, to about 4 wire runs of maybe 40' to each TV.

Looks like ATT UP YOUR VERSE has LOST my Business (Modem,VOIP, 5 HD Uverse Boxes) All over what running 4 CAT5 cables ?

The Local Cable Company will INSTALL 4 TV lines totally FREE !!!!! WIRE,LABOR,Connect them UP and ALL ….. F R E E !!!

Good way to go AT&T ! Another customer lost to satellite !!!!

Sorry to hear it went this way. I don't understand why they couldn't install it separate. I mean if you want to have DTV and U-verse who is to say you can't! The lines in your house belong to you, I think at the minimum they should be able to run a couple jacks and maybe charge for additional but there is no reason why you can't have both.

Thats because theres a good chance your gonna cancel due to the fact that your already comfortable with dtv and we dont risk doing all that work for free. Also its funny all the inside lines are the customers but when somethings wrong with them like the dog chewed them up or someone pulled them off the wall every customers always want us to fix them for free and they say ( oh it was the installers fault) and (they told me there wouldnt be a charge). We installers LOVE working long hours away from our familys fixing other peoples screw ups and getting yelled at all day for it.
