For those in the Detroit Michigan area U-verse TV and internet services should be readily available. The goal to expand services from AT&T is now reaching to 300,000 living units as reported by the AT&T press room.
This is really great news for all those wanting an alternative to cable and a chance to experience U-verse services. Since reaching Michigan, AT&T has been on a constant basis to expand services. Which is mainly in Southeast Michigan, far south Wyandotte, and as far as Lake Orion.
So buckle up Detroit because U-verse is here to stay!

As we like to do every month which is to see how U-verse data speeds are holding up.
We have yet to see a significant decrease in the bandwidth that is being provided by AT&T and where very pleased with the results to this point. If you would like to see previous months results go here.
Speed Test:
Provisioned:
3MB/1MB
Tested Using:
SpeakEasy Speed Test
Location:
Dallas/Fortworth
Results:
Down: 2.864 kbps
Up: .949 kbps

And once again U-verse holds strong and I’m still getting almost every cent of the bandwidth I’m paying for! It’s hard to complain when the results are that good. Rumor has it as they grow the network will become congested like other broadband providers. However, where going to keep putting them to the test and so far there getting an A.

AT&T annouced today that it’s U-verse TV and Internet services are now available to 400,000 customers in the Houston area. This is significant for AT&T because their local launch was only in November of 2006.
“AT&T has expanded the Houston availability of AT&T U-verse on an ongoing basis. The service is offered today in parts of communities across Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Montgomery counties, and there are plans to continue reaching even more customers.” - AT&T Press Room
“Around 400,000 Houston homes can now enjoy a television experience that’s cooler than cable,” said Ed Cholerton, AT&T vice president and general manager for the Houston area. “Today’s news could come at no better time for Houston customers who are eager for a new video choice, and we’re continuing to make AT&T U-verse TV available more widely.” - AT&T Press Room
Texas was the first state to deploy U-verse services.
